Bowliig Notes.
(By *'Roughie.») In the absence of "Junior " who is undergoing a rest cure at Apia Hospital, and doing well, "Roughie" again takes up bis pen. Last Saturday's games at Apia bowling green were most enjoyable. The green was as fast as a Lotopa racehorse, and truer than usual, though here and there a "run" in the turf gave the bowls an unusual bias, With a little top-dressing to remedy this defect, Apia green will become really excellent. - <j& good setoo was seen between teams led by Tattersall and Brown respectively, made upas follow: Newland, Warren, Cowley, Tattersall (skip) v. Buss, Flicker, Sutherland Brown (skip). It was a wellfought match, victory going to Tattersall by 21 to 16. Scores were 12 all on the 14th head, but Tattersall and his meu finished with rare dash and distanced their opponents. Mrs Lofley, Mrs Burnett, Johnston and Ureu (skip) played Mrs Brown, Mrs Braisby, Burnett and Westbrook (skip). This game wa -, won by Uren, after a -gou,l "go," by 19 to i 4. Mr Uren has undertaken the duties of green superintendent, and already he has made arrangements for one half of the green. His labours are certain to have beneficial results.
