Holland declined to give any undertaking, and / said -he intended to make his inquiries. The Fiji Times strongly commented on the action of the Labour Party while in Suva, saying: "The action of Mr, Holland and" some others in communicating and conferring- with the Indian leaders regarding the recent trouble will, we. fear, give ..encouragement to the disloyal element. We think some of the raetbods'employed by Mr. Holland show very bad taste." Mr. Holland, when approached by the United Press Association's representative, said he preferred to reserve his reply till he arrived in New Zealand.
