The Show-ground is already beginning to take on the appearance of a Fa-ir, tents and marquees being dotted here and there and a small army of workmen putting up telephones, loud-speakers, stalls, side-shows, etc. Among the special attractions this year is the Agricultural Department's outstanding exhibit, comprising among otheu1 intensely interesting features, a continuous movie talking picture. Another Wellsford special is a colossal, bullock which will be on exhibition. This animal is said by experienced stockmen to be the biggest North Auckland has seen for many a year, and is expected to weigh approximately 1,3001bs. — almost twice the size of a normal bullock.

The Women's Institutes aue putting in special exhibition Courts and there will also be an

exhibition display of dahlias and begonias, in addition to the ordinary flower entries, which in themselves constitute a magnificent spectacle. Of interest to pig-breeders is a special lecture and demonstration by Mr Pierson, of the Department of Pig Husbandry. As usual, the indoor exhibits will be open to the public on Friday evening.. These are .only one or two of the many outstanding features of this year's Wellsford Show, which seems to be doing its level best to uphold its reputation as Northland's biggest and greatest country Show.
