HOCKEY NOTES.
EODNEY v. WHANGAREI.
On Saturday next the following team ■ will traVel to Whangarei to play the annual match against the Northerners : —Goal, S. Cave; backs, Am. Langridge, E. Dunning; halves, . Al. Langridge, A. Toovey, E. Rogers,;, forwards, F. Partridge, F.; Underwood, S. Hood, A. Morrison, L. Smith. Emergencies, J. Becroft, J. Joyce.
The team will travel by private cars, leaving Eodney on Saturday morning and returning on Sunday.
LADIES' ASSN.
On Saturday next, August 6th, the Eodney girls will be travelling to "Whangarei to play a challenge match for the Hannam Shield, . which is;a Auckland trophy. They are leaving early Saturday morning by 'car, returning Sunday. It is unfortunate the, team has suffered the loss of the centre forward, E. Smith, as she has been an outstanding player throughout the season. She has left ;the district and has been granted a /transfer to Eaglan, " •' ■
The.following Eodney representatives have been selected for next Saturday :—Goal, .E. Dunning; backs, M. Nobilo, M. Dunning; halves, M. Dibble, I, Hendl, G. Be'croft,; forwards, E. Gubb, S.Meiklejphn, Mrs McPherson, M. Smith, E. Bremner. . Emergency,. M. Melville.
