ATHLETIC SPORTS.
At Waiwera on Saturday last the Waitemata A. and P. Association held sports on the Show Ground. It was a somewhat dull afternoon, but there was a good attendance. Steamers ran from Warkworth, Matakana and Auckland. The Puhoi Town Band ■was in attendance.

Boys under 16 years, 100 yards—L. Barker 1, N. Spinley 2. Waitemata Cup Hep., 100 yards— W. T. Andrews 1, H. Simeson 2, E. Woodcock 3. Three starters.
High Jump—W. T. Andrews 1, Nicholls 2, H. Simeson 3. Height, sft. 3£in.
Hurdle Eace Hep., 120 yards—W. T. Andrews, 1, H. Simeson 2, E. Clark 3. Four starters.
Throwing Cricket Ball—H. Duke 1, B. Scholium 2. Distance, 93yrds. lft. Waitemata Cup Hep., 200 yards— W. T. Andrews 1, H. Simeson 2, E. Woodcock 3.
Bicycle Bace Hep., 12 miles—S. Sankey (scratch) 1. Clark the only other competitor did not finish. Waitemata Cup Hep., 300 yards— E. Wpodcock 1, W. T. Andrews 2, H. Simeson 3.
Chain Stepping—J. Drinnan 1, S Barker 2.
Four Hundred yards Hep.—E, Woodcock 1, H. Duke 2, W. T. Andrews 3.
