TO PREVENT DISASTER.
Some one had made a proposal to Dan which excited his anger, and being "a bii) short timpired," a little argument soon put him into a "whoite hate."
"Vis, begorra!" he exclaimed, "tis a purty cool way yez hey ov seying things, Oi must admit."
Bystander: "Faix Dan, an' shure id takes somethin' cool fur a gintleman ov sich warum blood as yirsilf If id wusn't thet, begorra, we moight hey an aithquake."
