WARKWORTH LADIES' TEAM VISIT PORT ALBERT.

A team from the WaTkworth Ladies' Hockey Club, visited Port Albert, on xturday last, to play a match against the ladies' team there. A start was made from Warkworth in Mr L. Bamsbottom's big coach shortly after eeven o'clock in the morning fur the heavy drive to the Port, which was readied between eleven and twelve o'clock. The weather being favourable, the journey was an enjoyable one, and the return trip, made on Sunday, was also appreciated with zest.

Though the ground was rough, the game was a good one, and ended in victory for the home team by three goals to nil. Port Albert scored their first goal after a quarter-of-an-hour's hard work, and their other two points were the result of penalty bullies. No score was made by either side during the second half. In the evening, the visiting ladies ■were entertained by the local club at a dinner and social evening, a good time being spent. Altogether the outing was a most enjoyable one,

The members of the Warkworth club are requested to roll up for practice at 2 p.m. on Saturday next.
