Received July 8, noon New York, July 6 The Times’ Chicago correspondent says it is understood that the Republican Party will make the League of Nations and the alleged, extravagance and inefficiences of the Wilson administration issues in the coming campaign. No attempt will be made to inject personalities or the Prohibition issue. WILSON’S CONGRATULATIONS. ' Mr Cox, in a recent interview with the Evening World, said: “The League will promote' the status of the Irish people. It will permit them to present their case to the. conscience of the world. Wa must maintain she vital principles of the Treaty as enunciated by President Wilson. The mere promise of this country to place its responsibility npon the shifting sands of Congressional caprice is a travesty of human intelligence We should not, however, close our minds to reservations which are not harmfnl, but which will- aid in reconciling differences now existing. I am in favour of what a majority of the people want as concerns prohibition l1 ’
