There has been a recurrence of food riots in various towns in Germany, the most serious at Bremen, where crojwda seized the stalls in the market aiid sold goods much below the demanded prices. Subsequently women stormed ,the provision shops. The police dispersed the crowds.

Vorwaerts attributes the outbreak to intriguers inciting the populace in order to compel the authorities to take reactionary counter measures.
