P. & T. GRIEVANCES.
Per Press Association. Christchurch, March 32. At a meeting of the North Canterbury Post and Telegraph Officers’ Association, the following resolutions were passed: (1) That the salary allotted to the Secretary of Department * and administrative officersis entirely Inadequate to the responsibility of tho position and, in comparison with those paid to managers, etc. in commercial concerns, is almost farcical. The salary paid to the General Manager of Railways should be taken for the purposes of comparison, and we consider substantial addition should be immediately made; (2) That the minimum salary allotted to any executive officer be not less than £3BO per annum, or at least £SO per annum above the maximum paid to the rank and file.
