London, March 18, Giving evidence before the Commons uommittee on the taxation of war wealth, A H Kilvor, speaking on behalf of the Federation ’of British industries, representing over eighteen thousand manufacturers, strongly disapproved any scheme of lew which would he unfair and unjust. Two valuations of capital would be necessary, and the cost and aifdoclty of making these would be enoraiods, He pointed .out that a great part of war wealth was already heavily taxed. The proposal would 05-rate ’widespread nervousness and uncertainty. The spendthrift would escape-and credit would be very seriously affected.
