Band Contest results* E Flat Soprano Cornet —L Neighbours, Blenheim, 98; W Frances, Wanganui Garrison, 97; P Dunn, Woolston, 95; W F Francis, Nelson and Marlborough, 94; R Ward, Christchurch Tramways, 80. J Wills, Invercargill Hibernian, did not finish. Quartette —Kaikorai 45, Invercargill Hibernian 43, 10th Mounted Regimental Band 36. Thirteen competed. Pipe Band teat selection quickstep competition resulted Dunedin Highland Pipe Band 493%, Wyndham 433, Balclutha 406%, Southland 373%. The B Grade Competition for‘brass bands resulted : Waterside Workers’ Baud, Wellington, 260 points, 1 Auckland City Band, 244, 2 Ninth Hawke’s Bay Regimental, Napier, 242, 3 Dannevirke Muncipal Band, 340, 4 These marks are for the two sections of the competition. Other competitors were—First Canterbury Regimental 325, Christchurch Tramway Band 224, Winton Municipal Band 196, C.E.M.S. Band, Christchurch, 130,
