Per Press Association. New Plymouth. March 3. The Taranaki Show opened to-day in fine weather. There are large entries, particularly in the Jersey section. Championships were awarded as follows Draught mare: A Hastie, Normanby Shorthorn; Bull,a A Needham, Douglas, cow, B H Slack, Taikorea’ Ereisian: Bull, R Castle, Matapu; cow, H W Hoskin, Mangatoki. Ayrshire: Bull and cow, W Hall, Lepperton Jetsey: Bull, F Panford, Stratford; cow, Wrenn Bros, Hawera Southdown: Ram, J Forbes, Normanby Romney Marsh: Ram and ewe, Blair and Hunter, Maxwelltown Shropshire: Bam and owe, A H Street, Bell Block Berkshire; Boar.
