From Our Own Correspondent. The Education Board has appointed Miss E, McCormick first assistant teacher in the public school in place of Miss Beamish, She will commence liar duties* on 3rd Febru ary. Miss Jessie McGregor, daughter of Mr and Mrs E. McGregor, Mangara, has passed in the Matriculation, Solicitors and Medical Preliminary Examinations. Miss McGregor has had a brilliant course at Wanganui Girls’ College and is a young lady.

The recent rain has greatly improved the pastures and gardens, and with the present warm weather vegetation is growing well.
