JURYMAN BECOMES INSANE.

London, Nov 20 g

Walter Bayne, charged with the murder of his wife, was convicted at the Old Bailey. He ,stated that his mind had .been affected through sitting as a juryman in a recent murder case. He was ordered to be detained as insane, Mr Justice Rowlatt*'confirming! a specialist’s view of the trying effect of such trials. He said it was one of the reasons why women were not permitted to sit on juries.
