The British miners voted ever whelmingly in favour 1 of a strike MR LLOYD GEORGE’S OFFER. A SPECIAL INQUIRY. . London, February 23. Mr Lloyd George § has offered the miners a special inquiry respecting wages and hours, to “report before March 21st. The position is complicated, as, according to present arrangements, the strike begins oa March 15th. Mr Smellie announces that a fresh conference will be call ed to consider tbe advisability for rescinding or posponiug this decision.
