THE EPIDEMIC COMMISSION.
Per Press Association. Auckland, Feb 31 At the Epidemic Commission, Dr. Milsom, representing the "Auckland Division 8.M.5., said they were of opinion that the epidemic was an outbreak of a pandemic disease hitherto known to the profession as influenza, and was identical to the disease in older countries, and that the infection was bronght to New Zealand by more than one oversea passenger steamer, including possibly vessels returning from England with troops, including an earlier part of draft from No. 3 general hospital. The feeling of the profession in Auckland was that the Niagara bronght the disease. This, however, was not capable of proof, and it was possible that other vessels were also responsible.
