HUNTERVILLE NOTES.
From Oar Own Correspondent, A sad death occnrred here on Thursday morning, when lan James Heath McKinnon, aged 13, Second soa of Mr and Mrs James McKinnon, of this town, fell fainting from his horse int 6 a pool at the roadside, and was drowned. The sudden nature of the death came as a great shock to all, and the deepest sympathy is felt for Mr and Mrs McKinnon and family in their hour of bereavement. The remains were privately interred at the Bangatira Cemetery on Friday afternoon. Huutervilie was represented by a team of bowlers at Marton on Wednesday afternoon. Unfortunately rain interfered with the game, which resulted in a draw.
A kitchen evening was held at the residence of Mr and, Mrs Brnnton on Friday evening last for Miss Ensnm, who is shortly to be married to Mr Tyack, of Marton. A large number of friends were present, and a fcnoronghly enjoyable time was spent by all present, various music al items being rendered. There were many useful contributions towards the “happy boms.”
