AMUSEMENTS.
"THE FLOOR BELOW.” BULLS TOWN HALL—SATURDAY, "The Floor Below” is a fine story and a fine picture, but this is not the main point regarding it. It is also a Goldwyn,;but even this is not the most interesting thing. What makes a feature of unusual appeal is the fact that Mabel Norman, after an absence from the screen of nearly two years, re-appears in it to delight Dominion audiences. Her charming work as ‘‘Keystone” comedienne is .vividly remembered, and in ‘‘The Floor Below” she comes back with sll her old charm plus much finer artistry, and in addition proves herself a emotional actress. The story is a great one, holding the interest at a high tension fright [through, and with sufficient humour to give Mabel Norman full; scope in this direction. In the emotional field she proves herself one of *he most finished and appealing personalities of the screen. The picture is from all points of view a memorable one. TOWN HALL MARTON, TO-NIGHT. % "HIS OWN PEOPLE.” The blacksmith in the Vitagrapfa drama "His Own People,” i-i such a magnificent character that he reminds os of some of Jeffery Farnolds great stories. His part is taken by Harry Morey, who makes an ideal Irishman as be is, and not as he is usually burlesqued. Gladys Leslie plays opposite to him. The final of the Double Cross aerial, and a Gaumout Graphic will als o be screened.
