AN UNRECONCILED ENEMY. GERMANY THE FRIENDLESS. (Amt. and N.Z. Cable Association.! Amsterdam, March 4. Vorvvaerts commenting on the new R ussian peace terms, says: “Russia ends the war unreconciled and the policy of patriotic ‘revanche’ once it gets a lead will find an easy game to play. In conclusion Vofwaerts bitterly comments: When the war is over Germany will stand utterly alone, without a friend and her people will find themselves faced in peace by a world of enemies.

KRYLEKO’S ORDERS TO THE ARMY. REMAIN IN POSITION. (Aust- and N.Z. Cable Association.) Loudon, March 4. A wireless Russian official message states: Krylenko (Bolshevik' Oom-mahder-in-Ohief) has ordered the Russians to cease hostilities but to remain in their present positions.

HOW RUSSIA REGARDS PEACE TERMS. BLOW TO NATIONAL PSIDE. APPEAL BY THE CADETS. ANARCHY PREFERABLE t 6 ENSLAVEMENT. Received 'March 6, 9 a.m. Loudon, March 5. The Daily Chronicle’s Petrograd correspondent states that the majority of the Social Revolutionaries and the Left section of Bolsheviks still favour a revolutionary war, but a serious defence is impossible. Tno regular army, with few exceptions, is flocking to the interior, as far as possible, from the invader. The bulk of the Petrograd regiments have sold thc-ir regimental property, divided proceeds and goae to their homes. The now Red Army is enthusiastic, but raw, and cannot seriously resist the invaders.

The capital is uncannily quiet. The peace terms seem to have struck a blow to the national feeling.

The Cadet Party hns issued a manifesto declaring the calamities of anarchy, deplorable «s they are, cannot be compared to |the horror of enslavement to a foreign yoke. It appeals to the country to rally to the defence of the country in association with Russian allies.
