ARTICLE 1 stipulates: The contracting parties shall live henceforth in peace and friendship.

AKTIOB 5: Russia shall not delay to demobilise completely, including herjuewly-formed forces, and shall transfer her warships to Russian harbours, leaving them there till the general peace; or shall immediately disarm them. All warships hostile to the Qnadruplice will he treat-d as Russian in so far as they are within Russian control. The removal of mines in tho Baltic and in so far as the Russian power extends on the Black Sea will ho begun immediately. Commercial shipping in these waters as soon as they uro free will immediately be resumed. Mixed Commissions will fix further regulations, especially as regards merchant ships, as to tiie routes which must ho kept permanently free of floating mines.

ARTICLE G: Russia undertakes immediately to conclude peace with the Ukraine and to recognise the peace treaty between Hie Uaraine and the Central Powers;, to evacuate the-Ukraine immedately and to cease all agitation or propaganda against the Government and the public institutions of the Ukraine. To evacuate, wiitbout delay, BsthOnia and Livonia. The eastern frontier of Bsthonia will follow the line of the Narva River and the eastern frontier of Livonia rnus through Lake Pripus and Lake Pskoff to the south-west corner of Lake Pskoff, thence over Lake Luban in the directon of Leebensof, on “the Dvina River. Esthonia and Livonia will be occupied by a German police force until security is guaranteed and order restored. Russia guarantees the release of all arrested Esthonians and Livonians.
