He is obsessed with the one idea of the coming of a world rovolutioujand the triumph of proletariat . Meanwhile they must accept German terms. ■ IFears of German attack and starvation is causing great a rush from Petrogrsd, especially of foreigners and Britishers, Including embassy officials. The military mission escaped witlr difficulty, indescribable disorganisation, on the railways adding to the miseries of tire refugees. It is reported that soldiers broke into the British Embassy prior to evacuation and burned and confiscated documents. Officials protested to Trotsky, who replied that the Government had not ordered the outrage and therefore was not responsible.
