A TREMENDOUS SURF.
TEN COTTAGES WRECKED. Per Press Association. Waihi, March, 5. Owing to some disturbance other than local a tremendous surf was in evidence on tho Woihi beach this morning which, at intervals of half an hour, surged up with great force to 200 yards above high-water mark. Ten cottages facing the sea have been wrecked. Tho great rollers shootius" up to a tremendous height form a magnificent spectacle.
