GREAT BOMBING ACTIVITY.

ENEMY RAIDS REPULSED. RAIDS BY THE SOOTS. London, Feb. 23. Sir Douglas Haig reports: Hostile artillery was active in the neighbourhood of the Arras-Cambrai road La Basse and Ypres. Aeroplanes yesterday dropped bombs on billots and rail sidings at Courtrai, Ledoghem and Donai. We brought down nine hostile machines. Three of ours aro missing.

Six hundred and seventy eight bombs were dropped last night, 300 being on an aerodrome southeast of Lc Gateau, used by the enemy’s night lliers. Nineteen direct hits were made on hangars, and the remainder on aerodromes at Ghent and Tournui.
