There was a scene in the Assembly when discussing the usual’motion of congratulations to the new- Governor on his appointment. Several members of the Opposition. while offering Sir Walter Davidson their congratulation, disobeyed the Speaker’s rulings and condemned the retention of the State Governors on account .of the expense attaching thereto. One member was eventually removed and the motion was carried by-thirty-two to eleven.
