The death of Flying-Lieufc. Seaforth McKenzie ,' who was reported killed in action on January 2(sth, brings to a ‘..close a very promising young life. He was the jmungest sou of Mr and Mrs William McKenzie, of Marton, and he left Now Zealand as 2nd Lieut, with the loth Reinforcements. After having about nine mouths’service in France he was transferred to the Fbyiug Corps last August. He was training in England for about three months, and went over to France in November last, having thus been hying in Franco for about He had always been keen on hying, and residents of Marton district will remember that he did some hying in this district with his brother’s hydro-aeroplane a few years ago, being then quite a hoy. Ho was an unusually thoughtful and clever boy, and his deßh at the ago of 21 is greatly to bo deplored.
