A PEERAGE CASE.
(Aust and N,Z, Cable Association,) Received Jan. 81, UOOIi, London, Jan. 80. The hearing has commenced of the Wartford peerage case, wherein George Beresford, a gardener, asked for a declaration that lie is the lawful son of the fifth Marquess, who married Florence Yaviau after the divorce action in 1870. Respondent alleged that Beresford was natural son of Georgina, both born at Holborn Workhouse. Georgina was sister to Mrs Vivian Cook.
