ADDINGTON SALES. Per Press Association. Christchnrcli, Jan. 30. At Addington market to-day thero were larger entries of stock in almost nil departments. The store sheep sale was brisk, and in some o ises prices wore in advance of those of the previous week. lambs were rather eisier, and exporters were making purchases nt 8d per lb over all. Fat c ittle showed some decline, but prices wore still generally above export level, and only an odd animal was bought for freezing. Fat sheep were n shade easier, the yarding being the largest for some time past. Exporters were able to do some business, especially in owes, their buying price being equal to to G%d ior wethers, and 5/ijd for owes per lb over all. Thero / was a large yarding of store c ittle, mostly .well grown. Steers sold well. Pigs of all classes and dairy cows sold well. BURNSIDE STOCK SALE,

Dunedin. Jan. 30. At Burnside to-day 181 cattle were yarded—too many for buyers’ requirements. Prices opened on a par with last week’s rates, but gradually declined. At the end of the sale there was no competition, and several pens wore passed u nsold. Prime bullocks £2l, medium £lB 10s to £2O 10s, lighter £l6 to £l7 10s, prime heifers £ls 17s fid, medium £l3 10s to £l4 15s, light and aged £l2 upwards. Sheep; 177 penned. In tho absence of competition from export buyers, the entry was quite sufficient for requirements. The market 'was stagnant and at times erratic. Prime wethers 38s fid to 41s 9d, medium 34s fid to 37s fid, light and unfinished 29s 9d upwards; prime ewes 35s to 38s 3d, medium 31s to 345, light and aged 2fis upwards There was a ..small yarding of lambs and tho prices were a little bettor than last .week.
