HAWKE’S BAY RAM FAIR.

(Per Press Association!.) Hastings, Jan; 31. At the first day of the Hawke’s Bay Ram Fair, there was a fairly large attendance. Heavy rai n fell in the afternoon. Prices did not rule as bights last’year and numerous lines wore passed in. Averages were obtained for flock sheep. In Lincoln stud rams the best figure obtained was 1)5 guineas for a one shear bred by Mr W. H. Gaisford, of Danevirke. Romney stud rams realised good prices, the highest figure being 210 guineas for a twoshear, bred liy Mr W. Rayuer, of Masterton, the purchaser being Mr J. O’Grady, of Gisborne. Last year’s record price was for a stud Lincoln, 20a guineas.
