Kccoived Jau. 31, 9 a.m. New York, Jau. 30 The Germans sank sixty-nine American ships, mostly sailers, last year, of 171,000 gross tons. This is offset by the seizure of 515,000 tons. America has also [requisitioned all ships of two million tons and awarded contracts for 884 new vessels.
THE ESCAPE OF THE GOEBEN. NO LONGER ASHORE. London, Jan. 30. The Admiralty reports that a reconnaisance on 'Sunday at midnight showed that the Goeben was no longer ashore at Nugara Point.
