- {' From Cur Own Correspondent. The local school will rc-open on Friday next, Ist February, after tho Christmas holidays. Sergt. F. W. Ensom is now in England sitting for his r onmiission. Sergt. Ensom is tho eldest son of Mr and IMrs F. W. Ensom, of Hnntcrvillo, and went to the war three years ago. Ho went into camp at Oxford, England, on tho Tth December last. Under the heading of new appointments for tho Wanganui district appear tho names of Miss bns E Cassidy, who is appointed to the Huntervillo school, and Miss B. F. Howie, who lias been appointed tc the Martou school. Both these young Ddies were pupils at the Hunterville Hign School last year, and their friends will wisli them every success in their now positions. Muster Clarence Schindler, youngest son of Mr and Mrs W. Schindler of tiiis town, was removed to tho Waugnmi Hospital on Wednesday in a seriously ill condition.
