THOUSANDS IV AIR SERVICE. Washington, Jan. 11. Mr Howard E. Coffin, the chairman of the Aircraft Production Committee appointed by the American Government, st;tes that the United States has made tremendous strides in producing aircraft and training airmen. 'iliero were 86,000 men in aviation camps, they had ordered several thouands of aeroplanes, and initiated a nuge system of training stations and of standardising engine parts. The United States Ambassador to Groit Britain, Mr Walter H. Page, has announced that the United States is sending 100,000 nurses to the fighting fronts in Franco, Belgium,'’ltaly, Servia, and Palestine. ° The United States propose to export 00,000 000 bushels of wheat to meet the shortage of supplies among the allies.
