Vienna messages state that Emperor Carl has refused Seidler’s and Wekerle’s resignations, commanding them to retain their Ministries and accede to the popular demands regarding food, the extension of the communal franchise, women’s suffrage anil the civil control of industry. Herr Seidlor "has further announced that the Government aimed at a speedy general peace without annexations, and favours permitting Poland to settle her own relationship with Austria. All the strikes are ceasing and work is resumed.
