STOCK REPORT. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having a fair entry of cattle and a small yarding of sheep at their Palmerston North sale on Thursday, the 20th inst. Quotations :—Sheep: Forward ewes 23s 6d, cattle, dairy heifers £7 10s to £7 15s, dairy cows to £ll ss, forward cows to £lO Is, fat cows to £l2 Is, mixed weauers 375, empty heifers £(> Is, heifers and calves £8 6s. The same firm report having had a fair entry of cattle at their Hunterville sale on Tuesday, the 18th inst., which sold at the following prices: —Store cows £5 12s 6d to £7 ss, light fat cows £lO 2s, 2yr steers £9 10s, 2%yv steers £ll, 3 to 3yr steers £l2, dairy heifers £9. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co, renort:—Gn Thursday at Palmerston North we. had a small yarding which sold at the following rates: Jersey weaners 335, mixed yearlings £2 17s ed, store cows £6 to £6 12s, fat cows £ll, springing heifers to £l2 2s 6d, 15 months Shorthorn bull £B. Abraham and Williams report:— A t Palmerston North on the 20th. inst. we had a fairly good entry of stock. There was a fair .all round demand, the market having an improved tone end prices showed an improvement. Fm. ewes and lambs-, fair brought 34s 9d, shorn ewes 23s 10a, 4 and 6th ewes small 265, woolly hoggets 295, cull woolly ewes 21s 6d, shorn 2th wether*. 265, medium do. 18s Id; fat cow* £l3 5s to £l3 6s, forward cows £9 to £9 10s, tinners £5 to £5 7s 6d, 2>£yr steers bad colour £lO 13s 6d, 15 to 18-month steers £9 Bs, 15-month heifers £5 8s to £5 12s 6d, mixed, weaners £2 2s 6d to £2 6s. Afe Feilding on the 21st inst. the market for sheep was on the whole quiet, while cattle sold rather well. There was a fair-entry of both, sheep and cattle. Light plain fafc cows brought from £ll to £ll 15s, fat heifers £ll 10s, forward cowsr £lO to £lO 17s 6d, fresh conditioned, cows £Blss to £9 6s, small and aged, store cows £6 10s to £7 6s, aged cows and calves £8 10s, bolls £lt 10s to £l2 10s, mixed weaners inferior colours £3 to £3 10s, fat and forward 2th shorn wethers 31s, 2th store wethers 24s 6d, fat woolly ewes 375, fat and forward black., face mixed 28s 2d, forward ewes 30s, small fat hoggets 20s, fat lambs 20s to 30s, cull woolly hoggets 18s, lambs 15s; cull lambs 5s to Bs.
