liquor restriction act. THE SKIPPING QUESTION. By Telegraph—Special to Manawatu / Times. ! WELLINGTON, Last Night. Among the first measures before the House this week will be the Sale of Liquor "Restriction Act. It is understood that although the Government will agree to the postponement of earlyclosing till the Ist of December it is not disposed to accept some other now features inserted into the measure by the Council. Amongst the business for Monday night’s sitting is the consideration of the Cost of Living Committee ’s reports. The Committee will make interesting suggestions for combating increased prices, but they have little or nothing to sav regarding the cause or existence of exploitation. Questioned regarding the shipping supply for overseas, Mr Massey states that we cannot look far forward, but the shipping outlook between now and the middle of December is good. But for the fact that there are_ still large quantities of moat in store it could bo regarded as very good indeed.
