WELLINGTON, Last Night.
The House spent the afternoon discussing the electoral boundaries. Almost every speaker complained that under the present system it is impossible to study community of interest, while hotels thrown into dry areas suffered serious injustice. Mr Massey said that in regard to the injustice inflicted on the hotels, he had asked Parliament to put this matter right three years ago, when a section was put into the Act providing that when it is practicable to keep hotels in. what was called a "dry district,” it should be but apparently it had not been possible to do so in every case. He did not know what more could be done. If local option was knocked out it would get over the difficulty, but Parliament was not likely to make that alteration.
