Cattle, including dairy cows. — Wanganui 34,383, Waimarino 15,097, Rangitikei 69,732. . • Horses. —Wanganui 3248, Waimarino 1771, Rangitikei 7747. Pigs.—Wanganui 1385, Waimarino 914, Rangitikei 856. In the past five years there has been an increase of 1,066,446 sheep in the North Island, with a decrease of 274,442 in the South Island. In the same period the flocks in the [Wellington-West Coast area increased by 131,352.
