THE IRISH DIVISION.

APPEAL FOR REINFORCEMENTS. Main Service. London, Oct. 18. Major W. Redmond, in a letter of recapitulation of the gallant services of the Sixteenth Division, emphasises tlie need of immeditae reinforcements. He adds that it would be a tuousand pities and almost a betrayal of the heroic dead if the division, which has brought so much honour to the Irish name, ceased to be Irish. Officers and men confidentiyhope that all who love Ireland will unite, irrespective of creed or politics, and hasten to respond to the appeal on its behalf. The division has hitherto been awarded over three hundred military honours.
