TWELVE PERSONS BURNT TO DEATH. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. New York, Oct. 26. A disastrous fire occurred in a four storeyed factory in Pittsburg. As a* result fourteen girls were killed and' eight injured. In addition three girls are missing. The rapidity of the flames cut off the third and fourth floors, where the majority of the girls were working. They crowded into dressing rooms, where their bodies lay in a heap. Two men on the second floor told the girls to jump. They caught such as obeyed the order, lowered them as far as possible, and thence dropped them to the siedwalk.

Pittsburg, Oct. 25

Eleven girls and one man were burned to death in the fire which des r troyed the factory of the Union Bos Paper Company. The fire started in an adjoining feed store and spread to the factory, where all escape was cut off. A number of girls jumped from the building and were caught by passers-by, but many were crushed to death. More deaths are expected,

as several additional girls are missing.
