A DISASTROUS FIRE.
LINSEED OIL MILL DESTROYED? United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Sydney, Nov. 30. A fire gutted Meggitt’s linseed oil mill at Parramatta. The fire was difficult to handle. It was a sixstoreyed building, and 100,000 gallons of oil were stored in it. A 15,000 gallon tank burst, and rivulets of burning oil flowed into the street. The balance was drained into the river to prevent firing 15,000' tons of linseed meal. The fire is still burning. The insurances are* £30,000. The damage is estimated at £50,000.
