COW-TESTING.
We are in receipt of the returns of the cow-testing carried cn by the Rata Go op. Dairy Go. Ltd. for the month of February. There were 18 herds, total milk received was 11,7931b5, making 466 741bs of butter-fat; this works ont at an average per herd of 6551bs milk at 3.95 test and 35.93b1s butter-fat. The best cow prodnced ll4oibs milk at a test of 3.8,' making 43 331bs batter fat. The worst cow produced 17olbs milk at 4.9 test mak iug 8.571bs butler-fat. The highest herd average was No. 6, of 23 cows, producing 9051bs milk, 3 55 test, and 33. ISlbs butter-fat. The lowest herd average was No 1. of 39 cows, producing 4801bs milk, test 4.19, making 20.141bs batter fat. It Is only fai to say that this latter herd is com 1 posed mostly of 2 year olds.
