SHORTAGE OF TRUCKS.

At the request of a number of settlers, Mr K. K. Simpson wrote to the Minister of Railways, complaining of the inability of settlers to get trucks in order to rail their produce to market. He also pointed out that a number of empty tracks were being sent up the Main Trunk line for the purpose of carrying timber, and the growers of gram in this district were suffering from lack of railway facilities.

The Minister of Railways has replied that the particulars forwarded have been noted and will have consideration. With a view to this he was inquiring into the matter.
