Mr Obnrehill, in introducing the Supplementary Estimates for millions, said it was a serious event, but unavoidable. The increase in oil reserves cost half a million and were now enough for a trienninra of peace, or a year’s war. The acceleration of the battleships to oover the delay over the Canadian ships accounted for £450,000 and quicker work by the contractors represented one million.
