Australia has presented the Palace of Peace with a table built of magnificent examples of rich Australian figured woods with symbolic carvings representing tiie fauna and flora of Australia. Received,September 2, 9 a.m. Paris, September 1. The press is not optimistic over fche opening of the Palace of Peace and considers it may prove a Pandora’s Box wherein after all tiie evils affecting humanity have been let loose there will remain only the blessing of Hope.
