ROOSEVELT’S LIBEL ACTION.
United Press Association—By< Electric Telegraph—Copyright New' York, May 28, At Marquette, Michigan, Mr Roosevelt gave evidence in his libel suit. Ho declared that he never touched liquor unless after great exposure in hunting, or on his physician’s advice. He never drank a cocktail or highball daring his life. A huge crowd of visitors is thronging the city in order to hear tiie case. Mr Roosevelt sketched his career, and told of hunting expeditions. Medical witnesses asserted that it was impossible for Mr Roosevelt to live a strenuous life if he drank. He would very likely have died from tiie attempted assassination if he had been a drinker.
