The Daily Mail states that Franco has sent a crinser to Muscat to put pressure upon the Sultan of Oman, who is stopping gun-running at Brtain’s request. Britain is sending a cruiser from China. Col. Mangin, marching on Denman, in French West Africa, dispersed seven thousand mountaineers, who were decimated by the artillery. The French had four wounded. Received November 29, 10 a.m. Under cover of an old treaty several French firms defying the Sultan’s wishes have developed a lucrative trade in guns with the Indian northwest frontier via Muscat.
