THE MURDEROUS CHAUFFEUR.
United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. London, November 27. Albert Bowes, the chauffeur who shot Sir E. R. Henry, Commissioner of Police, seriously at Kensington, had been refused a taxicab license because he had been convicted of drunkenness. After the third shot Henry slammed the door upon his assailant’s face. Henry’s chauffeur seized the revolver and threw Bowes to the ground. Henry’s wound is not dangerous. London, November 28. Inspector Henry is improving. Accused has been remanded.
