United Press A ssociatiou— By Electric Telegraph —Copyright. Loudon, November 8. There is unwonted activity at Portsmouth. The sixth and seventh destroyer flotillas and several battleships are being got ready tor sea. The authorities’ explanation that it is the quarterly mobilisation is unsatisfactory ; it is supposed the vessels are for the near Bast. Received November 4, 1 p.m. London, November 3. The Admiralty denies that the mobilisation at Portsmouth has any ulterior purpose. It is merely an experimeutaljtest’for nucleus flotillas in coal and provisioning.
