WESTFIELD REPORT.

Messrs Alfred fßuckland and Sons ( report;—At our -weekly. Westfield stock market bn Wednesday last out beet pens contained 265 head. There « was a 'falling-off in the demand/and _ values declined from 10s, to 15s per head. Choice ox sold to £l IQs, * prime £l 6s.to.£l M, cow and heifers \ £1 to £1 6s per 1001 b; steers ranged in price from £7 15s to £ls 2s 6d, | cows and heifers £5 to £9 10s. There j was an average supply of fat and voting calves, which sold readily: ,| Heavy suckers £3 to £4 Bs, choice j medium suckers £1 14s to £2 10s, I light £1 to £1 12s, small and freshdropped 6s to 18s, weedy 3s to ss—--66 sold. Tile sheep pens were moderately filled. Competition was not keen, and values were on the downward tendency. Heavy woolly wethers £1 3s 6d to £1 5s 6d, shorn 10s 6d to 145— 1378 sold. Spring lambs were ;in excess of ments, and; there was a £drop'- of from 5s to 6s per head. Best 13s 6d ! to 15s 3d, good 11s 6d to 13s, others 8s n to 11S--140 sold. Pigs penned in usual numbers. Light choice porkers and stores maintained late extreme values, and other descriptions were lower. Choppers £4 5s to £5 7s, heavy baconers £8 5s to £4, lighter £3 15s to £3 3s, large porkers f £3, 6s to £2 13s, smaller £1 16s to £2 ss, slips to £1 13s, wcaners £1 Is ,to] £1 6s 6d—H4 sold. ■ ■ At Westfield on Thursday las,; October 34th. dairy and store stock came forward in Usiial numbers, and I sold at ruling prices. Best dairy | cows brought from £lO to £l3, f others £7 to £9 10s, aged and inferior cows £4 to £6 10s, empty young cows £4 to £5 , ss, store cows £3 15s to £3 14s, yearling, to 18months heifers £3 10s to £5 ss, yearling steers to £3 7s, calves £1 15s.' to £3- Hs, ewes with lambs |lßs, hoggets 16s 6d.
