Houlihan's dairy herd was also offered and bis cows averaged'£B 11s. Quotations;— Sheep: Medinm hoggets 11s 7d. JERSEY SALE AT NUKUMARU. Mr Newton King reports:—On Thursday 10th., at Nnkumaru, I held, in rconjnnotion with Messrs Freeman R. Jackron & 00,, a very successful claaring sale of pedigree Jersey and grade dairy cattle on account of Frank Moore Esq. The attendance was very large and representative buyers being present from Woodville,Palmerston N., Wanganui, supplemented by a very strong contingent from Taranaki. The whole of the stock was in excellent condition, both pedigrees and grade, fully sustaining Mr Moore’s reputation as a breeder. Bidding wa*. ffkeen from start to finish and excellent prices were realised for all the g stock. Priaes for the dairying plant land implements were in favour c£ buyers. The highest price paid for cows was 7og2S, obtained for Prim 11., a six year old daughter of Mayflower’s Magnet, by Mr H.
